ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, STATE GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS AT BRISTOL MYERS SQUIBB
Ethan Hasbrouck is the Associate Director, State Government Affairs at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he leads efforts to advance public policies to ensure an optimal business environment and patients have access to innovative life-saving/enhancing medications.
In this role at BMS, he represents the company before state legislators, regulators, Governors and other health care stakeholders. Ethan’s primary responsibility is to develop and implement successful government relations strategies by anticipating, identifying and addressing emerging public policy issues with a comprehensive understanding of the states’ legislative and political environments.
Before joining BMS in 2016, Ethan was the New Jersey Director of Government Relations at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS-CAN). At ACS CAN he advocated and lobbied state legislators to advance public policies that benefit cancer patients, promote early detection of cancer and that prevent cancer.
Prior to ACS CAN, Ethan served as Chief of Staff to New Jersey State Assemblyman Herb Conaway, MD and former Assemblyman Jack Conners. He also was the Director of Government Relations at the New Jersey Technology Council, and began his career as a legislative aide to former New Jersey Assemblyman David Mayer. Additionally, Ethan has worked on several state legislative and local political campaigns.
Ethan is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Political Science, and earned a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from Rutgers University in Camden.
As an active member of the community, Ethan volunteers as a youth lacrosse coach, a member of the Marlton Boys Lacrosse Board, and a member of the American Cancer Society South Jersey Advisory Council.
